Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh has been cleared by Birmingham police following an incident last month in which a cable repairman alleged that Suh brandished a gun at him. Police reviewed surveillance tape from Suh's home and confirmed the defensive tackle's version of events was supported by the evidence.
Ndamukong Suh cleared by police for pellet gun incident
Birmingham police were investigating Suh for an alleged incident last month involving a pellet gun and a cable repairman, but video evidence showed what really happened that day.

Comcast cable repairman Spencer Ferrell told police that on Aug. 16, Suh threatened him with a gun while he was working on a utility pole behind Suh’s house in Birmingham. Suh told investigators that when he returned home that day he heard rustling in the trees and used the scope on his pellet gun to get a closer look into the trees. Police reviewed the footage from Suh’s home and determined that he never used the pellet gun in a threatening manner.
Suh was fined for the sixth time in his career on Tuesday. This time a $100,000 fine for an illegal block on Vikings center John Sullivan. He is currently appealing the fine.
