Von Miller has open arrest warrant in California, per report

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has even more legal troubles to deal with, as there is a warrant for his arrest in California, according to a report.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has an open warrant for his arrest in the state of California, according to Ryan Parker of The Denver Post. Miller has a warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic ticket issued in 2012. According to the report, it's unclear if the warrant will come into play when the Broncos play the Oakland Raiders or San Diego Chargers later this season.

Miller is suspended for the first six games of the regular season for submitting a diluted urine sample for drug testing. However, the Broncos don’t travel to San Diego until Week 10 or Oakland until the final game of the season in Week 17. This appears to be a minor warrant, but it’s state-wide and it would appear he could easily be arrested on either of those occasions.

That is, if Miller even travels with the team. It recently came to light that Miller was cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license last week. That was the second time he was cited for driving an automobile without a license.

Following that news, reports surfaced that the NFL has the power to extend Miller’s suspension for added infractions or new information regarding his original infraction. The off-the-field issues certainly seem to be piling up for Miller; it will be interesting to see if this plays into that at all.
