NFL weather forecast, Jets vs. Patriots: Chance of storms

Another Thursday NFL night game could be impacted by lightning from strong-to-severe storms.

AccuWeather.com

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for most of Massachusetts Thursday evening until 10 p.m. EDT. While this doesn’t include Foxborough or Gillette Stadium, a severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe weather in or near the watch area.

While Foxborough is not included in the watch area, strong storms, heavy rain and lightning are possible. Like we saw in Denver last week, storms approaching Gillette Stadium will have lightning and could cause possible delays. There will be times of rain, and some of these showers will be heavy, especially in thunderstorms.
