The Carolina Panthers were concerned when some important players were unable to practice at full speed earlier in the week. The team should be without any major holes against the Bills, however, considering defensive tackle Dwan Edwards, tight end Ben Hartsock and linebacker Jon Beason are all listed as probable despite missing practice time.
Panthers vs. Bills, injury report: Jairus Byrd unlikely to make season debut
The injury reports for the Panthers and Bills don’t feature many surprises, although Jairus Byrd is unlikely to make his season debut.

The big injury news for the Bills is the announcement that star safety Jairus Byrd is listed as doubtful while he continues to battle back from plantar fasciitis. Byrd did participate in practice Wednesday and Thursday -- albeit in limited fashion -- but it looks likely that he'll miss a second consecutive week. Cornerback Ron Brooks (fractured foot), wideout Marquise Goodwin (fractured hand) and lineman Doug Legursky (leg) are also listed as questionable.
