Lions vs. Cardinals 2013 injury report: Reggie Bush probable for Detroit, Larry Fitzgerald remains questionable

There are a couple of key playmakers on the injury report for this week’s Lions-Cardinals clash in the desert.

Scott Rovak-USA TODAY Sports

When the Cardinals and Lions meet on Sunday, there will be a handful of important players on both sidelines dealing with injuries. Fortunately for both coaching staffs, no key players are expected to be out for the Week 2 NFC battle.

For the Cardinals, veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been limited all week in practice by a hamstring issue. Despite being slowed down a bit and listed as questionable, Fitzgerald is a gamer and is expected to play on Sunday. Starting tailback Rashard Mendenhall is listed as probable, as is wide receiver Andre Roberts. On the defensive side of the ball, John Abraham and Darnell Dockett are both listed as probable with shoulder injuries.

The Lions are in fairly good shape heading to Arizona. Defensive tackle Nick Fairley is questionable with a shoulder issue and was limited in practice on Friday after sitting out the previous two days. It seems his status is about 50/50 with 48 hours to go before kickoff. In a bit of good news, Reggie Bush, who had a monster debut with the Lions, is probable to play.
