The Arizona Cardinals promoted Kerry Taylor from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday, a move that Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com called "Larry Fitzgerald insurance," as the team's star receiver is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Larry Fitzgerald injury: Cardinals promote Kerry Taylor from practice squad
Taylor was added to the active roster as “Larry Fitzgerald insurance,” according to one reporter.

Taylor, 24, was an undrafted free agent in 2011 out of Arizona State University and was signed by the Green Bay Packers. After stints with the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings and Patriots again, Taylor signed with the Cardinals in 2012.
Fitzgerald was one of only four receivers on the Cardinals' active roster prior to the move to promote Taylor and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. The seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver told reporters on Thursday that "everything is good" and shrugged off concerns of him missing playing time.
Taylor has not been active for a regular season game in his career, but caught nine passes for 122 yards in preseason with the Cardinals.
