The Atlanta Falcons running back left the field for the locker room in the first quarter, shortly after scoring a touchdown against his former team on a eight-yard Matt Ryan pass. There is no update on his status at this time.
Jackson was signed in the offseason to help balance the Falcons' offense as the team struggled to move the ball effectively on the ground in 2012. Atlanta will now turn to Jacquizz Rodgers while Jackson is out, but he has just 593 career rushing yards since entering the NFL in 2011.
Atlanta has been dealing with numerous injuries to its offense entering Sunday's game. Receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones were both questionable and while both were able to play, one wonders how many injuries this offense can bear. Ryan is having success passing the ball, but it remains to be seen how long that can last without a reliable running back.
