The Falcons seems to have dodged a couple of bullets in Week 2's 31-24 win over the Rams. Both cornerback Asante Samuel and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon left the game with injuries, but it sounds like they will not be missing playing time. According to Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo, Samuel and Weatherspoon suffered mild injuries during the game.
Falcons rumors: Asante Samuel, Sean Weatherspoon avoid serious injuries
The Falcons’ defense will not lose Weatherspoon or Samuel to major injuries.

Garafolo reports that Weatherspoon endured a foot sprain that is not believed to be serious in nature, with more tests scheduled on Monday. Samuel tweaked a quad during the game against the Rams and Garafolo reports his exit from the game was precautionary. The Falcons are expected to update the injury statuses of Weatherspoon and Samuel on Monday. Both players will likely be limited in practice during Week 3.
The Falcons will be on road in Week 3 as they will visit the Miami Dolphins on CBS at 1 p.m. ET.
