NFL injuries 2013, AFC North: Ray Rice has hip flexor, others go down

In a tough division, many players went down with ailments during Week 2.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The major injury in the AFC North in Week 2 was that of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice.

The star went down in the 14-6 Baltimore win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday with a hip flexor injury. Rice was not even touched on the play in the fourth quarter, before going down and staying on the turf. He's listed as day-to-day and didn't require an MRI. He could play this weekend against the undefeated Houston Texans.

The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, but they did not get out of the game without injuries.

Cincinnati watched defensive end Robert Geathers leave in the first quarter with what is an undisclosed injury, not to return. Cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick also missed the second half of the game with an undisclosed issue.

For Pittsburgh, running back Isaac Redman briefly left the game but returned to finish in defeat.
