The NFL has released its list of Week 3 Players of the Week honorees, naming Philip Rivers and Mario Williams as the AFC's offensive and defensive selections, respectively, and Aaron Rodgers and Richard Sherman as the NFC's offensive and defensive selections, respectively. None of the four selections should come as a shock.
NFL Players of the Week: Philip Rivers, Richard Sherman among honored in Week 3
NFL Players of the Week in Week 3 include quarterbacks Philip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers, cornerback Richard Sherman and defensive end Mario Williams.

Rivers and Rodgers both put up big numbers on their way to impressive victories. Rivers bounced back from an ugly second-half performance in Week 1 to torch the Philadelphia Eagles for 419 yards passing and three touchdowns. Rodgers tied a Green Bay Packers franchise record with 480 yards passing, adding four touchdown passes in a blowout win over the Washington Redskins.
Sherman's big Sunday night performance against the San Francisco 49ers has earned plenty of praise. The 6'2 corner had an interception during the win, and blanketed receiver Anquan Boldin throughout the night in front of a raucous Seattle Seahawks crowd.
Williams' performance has perhaps earned less press, but was no less dominant. The veteran defensive end had 4.5 sacks in the Buffalo Bills' last-second win over the Carolina Panthers.
This week's special teams honorees were Devin Hester for the NFC and Trindon Holliday for the AFC. Hester set a Chicago Bears record with 249 kickoff return yards, averaging 49.8 yards per return. Holliday returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown to help his Denver Broncos defeat the New York Giants.
