Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is so confident in his repaired knee that he is willing to race his wide receivers to prove how effective he can still be. RG3 told reporters on Wednesday that he was willing to race wide receiver Pierre Garcon, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Griffin's comments come after Garcon questioned his quarterback's ability while wearing a knee brace.

RG3 is open to proving his knee’s health in a race with wide receiver Pierre Garcon.

RG3 has struggled with his play over the Redskins’ first two games this season. Griffin has thrown five touchdowns but also has three interceptions so far this season and Washington is 0-2. He also is averaging just 2.8 yards per carry with a total of 25 yards on nine runs. Those numbers are dwarfed when compared to his rushing numbers of last season, in which he average 6.8 yards per rush.
The Redskins are set to host the Detroit Lions in Week 3 at 1 p.m. ET Sunday. The game will be televised on FOX.
