Former Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb was honored Thursday night, as the team retired his jersey in a ceremony at halftime against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The quarterback was met something he didn't experience often during his 11 years in Philadelphia; unanimous cheers. The six-time Pro Bowler stood at center field next to former teammate Brian Dawkins, and exclaimed "Number five will always love you!" before witnessing his jersey take a spot in the Lincoln Financial Field rafters next to former defensive end Reggie White.
McNabb was unable to experience success with the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings after injuries took their toll and the Eagles decision to trade him away in 2009. The quarterback threw for over 30,000 yards and 200 touchdowns with the Eagles, posting a quarterback rating of 85.6 during this time. The Eagles reached the NFC Championship five times with McNabb at quarterback and he lead the team to Super Bowl XXXIX against the New England Patriots.
