The Seattle Seahawks had no problem taking care of the Jacksonville Jaguars, dismantling them at home, 45-17.
Jaguars vs. Seahawks 2013 results: Jacksonville’s nightmare season continues as Seattle cruises to 45-17 win
The game was every bit as ugly as people predicted. The Seahawks destroyed the Jaguars, 45-17.

Seattle jumped out to a fast 17-0 lead, and the game lost most of its tension afterwards. The Jaguars had no answer for Seattle's ferocious defense, gaining negative-9 yards in the first quarter and failing to cross midfield until midway through the second quarter. They finally crossed midfield late in the first half, following a Russell Wilson strip-sack, but that ended with a tipped interception to Bobby Wagner. Seattle's offense was firing on all cylinders, driving 79 yards in 34 seconds to add to its huge lead. The Seahawks went into halftime up, 24-0.
The Jags offense got another lucky break in the third quarter, when Paul Posluszny intercepted Wilson and took the ball to the 2-yard line. This time the Jaguars were able to cash in -- Maurice Jones-Drew scored to give them their first points of the game. By this point, the Seahawks let their foot off the gas pedal, sitting Wilson for Tarvaris Jackson. Most of the second half was garbage time as the Seahawks emptied their bench. Jackson threw for a touchdown and ran for another one to avoid any threat of a backdoor cover for the Jaguars.
Fantasy studs and duds
Despite coming out in the third quarter, Russell Wilson still put up a big statline. He completed 14-of-21 passes for 202 yards, four touchdowns and an interception before making way for Tarvaris Jackson.
Cecil Shorts III, like most weeks, was a small consolation for fantasy owners. He finished with eight catches for 143 yards.
Injury report
Seahawks receiver Jermaine Kearse left the game with an ankle injury and did not return. Defensive lineman Red Bryant also left the game with back spasms.
Did they cover?
The Seahawks were massive 19-point favorites, according to OddsShark, and some Vegas books had the line as high as -20. They had no trouble covering that spread.
