Vernon Davis inactive for 49ers-Colts, Aldon Smith active
Aldon Smith is officially active for Sunday’s game, while Vernon Davis is out with a hamstring injury.

Davis suffered a hamstring injury in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He was optimistic about playing this week, but didn't practice on Friday and was considered a game time decision. The 49ers decided to shut him down after warmups. Davis has nine catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns through two games.
Smith’s game status was in question after getting arrested for a DUI on Friday morning. He’s expected to face league discipline for his second DUI in as many years, but the 49ers will not immediately punish him. It’s unknown how much he will play in this game, but the team wants his pass-rushing talent for the game. Smith has 3.5 sacks in two weeks and recorded 19.5 last season.
