Richardson was traded from Cleveland in a shock move earlier this week. It’s unusual to see a player trade in the middle of the NFL season, let alone involving a top-five pick from 2012. The Colts leaned on their passing game to move the ball down the field, but turned to Richardson in the short field to punch it in.
He last scored a touchdown for Cleveland on 12/16/12. Publicly the Browns have said they traded Richardson because he didn't fit their offense, but there's a belief the move was the acquire more draft picks to ensure Cleveland can acquire a franchise quarterback in the draft after missing out on Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III in 2012.
The Indianapolis Colts currently lead the San Francisco 49ers 7-0 in the first quarter.
