Daryl Richardson injury: Rams RB re-injures foot in loss to Cowboys

Richardson only played one play on Sunday before suffering another injury.

St. Louis Rams running back Daryl Richardson re-injured his foot in the team's Week 3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Richardson missed practice on Wednesday, but Rams coach Jeff Fisher insisted he was healthy enough to play. Richardson played for one play and re-injured his foot. He did not come back into the game, and Isaiah Pead ended up taking the remainder of snaps.

With the Rams’ offensive line playing like it did on Sunday, it didn’t matter much who was carrying the football. Of course, it didn’t help that St. Louis hardly ran the ball at all, especially in the first half when it handed the ball off only five times over 30 minutes.

If Richardson continues to miss time with the foot injury, rookie Zac Stacy will likely be placed on the active roster.
