Blaine Gabbert is expected to return to his role as the starting quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars when the team hosts the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4 after missing the past two weeks with a hand injury, Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley announced at his weekly press conference on Monday.

Gabbert missed the team’s Week 2 and 3 losses as he recovered from a cut to his hand that required several stitches.

After winning the quarterback battle with Chad Henne through training camp and preseason, Gabbert started the team's season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. In the 28-2 loss, Gabbert suffered a cut on the back of his hand that required several stitches and was subsequently inactive for the team's losses to the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks.
In Gabbert’s place, Henne struggled to find a rhythm, completing just 56.1 percent of his passes for 512 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
A first-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Gabbert has accumulated 3,997 yards passing, 21 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in 25 career starts, but has tallied a 5-20 record as a starter.
