Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson may not have a thigh injury and he may need longer to recover than initially thought.
Steven Jackson hamstring injury may keep him out until Week 7
Atlanta has been quiet about Jackson’s injury, but some details are emerging.

ESPN’s Vaughn McClure is reporting that Jackson actually has a hamstring injury and not a thigh injury. He is also reporting that the running back may miss three to four weeks. That would put Jackson out of the lineup until after the Falcons’ Week 7 bye.
McClure said that Jackson suffered a setback in the Falcons' Week 2 win against the Rams after scoring a touchdown.
The Falcons appear to be hiding whatever is going on with Jackson, and had done a good job up to this point. Atlanta will now be rolling with Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling, both of whom performed well against the Miami Dolphins.
Jackson has not discussed his status in detail, and it’s now a bit more obvious why.
