Raiders vs. Broncos: Terrelle Pryor throws for 317 all-purpose yards in loss

The Raiders’ QB is coming along sooner than expected and had a nice game before leaving with a concussion.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

As most expected, the Denver Broncos made easy work of the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. But few could have predicted the performance Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor had against one of the league's best teams before leaving the game with a head injury that was later diagnosed as a concussion.

Pryor completed over 67 percent of his passes for 281 yards and a touchdown and without committing any turnovers. He also rushed four times for 36 yards. The Raiders quarterback didn’t get a ton of help from either his offensive line or his receivers, but he still put together a respectable night for Oakland.

Pryor did do his best to get many of his options involved in the game, targeting eight separate receivers. Denarius Moore was his favorite, hauling in six passes on 11 targets for 124 yards. Brice Butler and Rod Streater each caught three passes, good for a combined 96 yards.

Pryor left the game late, to be replaced by Matt Flynn, and was diagnosed with a concussion. He was injured on a scramble when caught between a pair of Broncos defenders. He did stay in the game for two more plays, but did not come back onto the field for the team's final series.
