Jason Peters injury: Eagles LT bothered by dislocated finger

Peters struggled in Week 3 and a dislocated finger was part of the problem.

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia left tackle Jason Peters was limited by a finger injury in Week 3 and he may have to play through it for the rest of the season. Peters dislocated a finger in the season opener and aggravated the injury on Thursday against Kansas City, according to Tim McManus of Phillymag.com.

Peters struggled in Week 3, allowing five quarterback hurries and a sack, according to Pro Football Focus. Part of the struggles were due to a tough matchup against Tamba Hali, but Peters said he was limited by the injury.

“I had to adjust a little bit because I had to tape up three of my fingers and I couldn’t grab,” Peters said, via Phillymag. “I had to adjust to Tamba in the second half with my hand placement and stuff because I couldn’t really grab him with my outside hand. I just had to adjust as far as settling down and start using it a little bit better than I did in the first two quarters.”

According to McManus, Peters had his fingers taped together again at practice on Tuesday. While the injury limited him in Week 3, it may be something Peters is forced to adjust to. He said it’s going to be a problem all season and he’s going to have to learn to deal with it.
