The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will make the move to bench quarterback Josh Freeman in favor of rookie Mike Glennon, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Buccaneers bench Josh Freeman for Mike Glennon, per report
The Bucs will indeed turn to the rookie quarterback after a tough 0-3 start to the season.

Tampa Bay is off to a 0-3 start following Sunday's 23-3 loss to the New England Patriots, another game in which Freeman struggled significantly. The fifth-year quarterback is completing less than 50 percent of his passes this season and has just a 59.3 rating for the season through three games.
The decision to bench Freeman comes just two days after head coach Greg Schiano once again reiterated that Freeman was the starting quarterback for the Bucs, and that there was never any thought to bench Freeman during the loss to the Patriots.
The pressure to turn to Glennon has existed since the preseason after the rookie out of North Carolina State played well in exhibition action. There have been rumors of a rift between Schiano and Freeman, with reports stating that Freeman could ask for a trade -- a report that was denied by the veteran quarterback.
Drafted in the third round for the Bucs this past spring, Glennon passed for 4,031 yards and 31 touchdowns with N.C. State in 2012.
