NFL picks and predictions, Bengals vs. Browns 2013: Cincinnati poised for a road victory in Cleveland

The experts at CBS and ESPN believe wholeheartedly that the Bengals will defeat the Browns in Cleveland.

Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

The battle for the AFC North continues in Week 4 as the Bengals and Browns meet in Cleveland. Both squads are coming off victories in Week 3 and are looking to continue their winning ways in a divisional matchup. The game will be even more interesting as Browns' quarterback Brian Hoyer continues to play in place of projected starter Brandon Weeden.

Hoyer was up-and-down in his Browns' debut but was able to throw for three touchdowns against the Vikings. His chemistry with wide receiver Josh Gordon will be crucial for Cleveland at home. The Browns' defense will also have to prove it is capable of shutting down the connection between Andy Dalton and A.J. Green in order to pull off a win.

In the matchup between the longtime inter-state rivals, one squad is getting a lopsided advantage in predictions from experts and analysts. With the Bengals as 5.5-point favorites on the road, CBS’s panel of eight experts are 50-50 on the matchup. However, when the spread is not taken into account, CBS has a clean sweep for the Bengals. For ESPN, its panel of 13 follows CBS’s lead with full support in favor of Cincinnati.

The SB Nation five-man panel of NFL experts has also unanimously picked the Bengals to defeat the Browns.

The Bengals travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns at 1 p.m. ET Sunday. The game will be televised on CBS.
