Isaiah Pead was listed as a surprise inactive for the St. Louis Rams against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night. No reason was given for Pead's status. The running back was not listed on the team's injury report heading into the game. Rookie Zac Stacy is active for the first time this season and is expected to see his first career touches.
NFL inactives, 49ers vs. Rams 2013: Isaiah Pead a surprise inactive for St. Louis
In surprising news, Isaiah Pead was listed as inactive for Thursday night’s game between the Rams and the 49ers. Zac Stacy is expected to see extra reps at running back as a result.

Otherwise, there were few surprises on the inactive lists. The biggest names on the 49ers' side were Nnamdi Asomugha and Patrick Willis, both of whom did not practice this week. The team received the good news that Vernon Davis would be active, however. The tight end was limited throughout the week with a hamstring injury.
On the Rams' side, right tackle Rodger Saffold and defensive end William Hayes were listed as inactive as expected. Neither player practiced this week.
