Ahmad Bradshaw has been ruled out by the Indianapolis Colts for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a neck injury, head coach Chuck Pagano announced Friday. Bradshaw was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday with the injury. His absence may ensure a heavy workload for the newly acquired Trent Richardson at EverBank Field.
Ahmad Bradshaw injury: Colts RB is out, giving reins to Trent Richardson
Ahmad Bradshaw will miss Sunday’s game against the Jaguars with a neck injury, putting Trent Richardson on track to carry a heavy load for the Colts.

Pagano described the injury as neck discomfort from a "significant blow." Pagano could not specify exactly when Bradshaw took the hit. Bradshaw appeared to be at full strength in Week 3 as he rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in a win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Bradshaw and Richardson were set to continue working as a tandem this weekend. Richardson was held to just 35 yards on 13 carries against the 49ers, albeit with a touchdown. He could take full control of the Colts’ running game on Sunday. Donald Brown will ostensibly be the team’s No. 2 running back this weekend, but he has just 10 carries for 55 yards this season.
The Colts are currently down their top two running backs to open the 2013 season. Vick Ballard is on injured reserve after suffering a non-contact torn ACL in practice after Week 1.
