Terrelle Pryor injury: Raiders QB will have 1 more evaluation Saturday

Terrelle Pryor made significant progress during the week and could still play on Sunday.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Terrelle Pryor has been cleared medically and could start Sunday's game against Washington.

Pryor suffered a concussion late in Monday’s game against Denver and appeared doubtful earlier in the week to play against Washington. Allen, however, said Pryor made significant progress through the week and the Raiders want to do one more evaluation on Saturday before deciding who will start.

"I don't know if that would be a game-time decision or not," Allen said. "The key is that both him and Matt Flynn have both prepared this week to start. I'm going to make the right decision based on [Pryor's] health and make sure we do the right thing for [Pryor]."

Allen said Pryor did more work at practice on Friday and the team will do a final check on Saturday to see how he responded to Friday’s action. If Pryor checks out one final time, Allen said he would play, but wouldn’t say whether he would start.

Pryor suffered the concussion late in the game against Denver. He remained in the game for a few plays before being taken to the locker room. The NFLPA is investigating the Raiders for their handing of Pryor’s injury.
