Ray Rice injury update: Ravens RB will play vs. Bills

The Ravens are likely to have their star running back returning to their lineup in Week 4.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

All signs are pointing to the Ravens having their starting running back in the lineup on Sunday against the Bills. Ray Rice is expected to play in Week 4, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.

Rice practiced all week with a hip injury, following his absence from Week 3's win over the Texans. Despite the being a full participant for most of the week leading up to Sunday, Rice was listed as questionable on the Ravens' injury report for Week 4. With Rice still recovering from the injury, his backup Bernard Pierce is expected to see several carries.

Rice has run for 72 yards and a touchdown in two games this season and has added another 44 yards receiving. With injuries to wide receiver Jacoby Jones and the lack of talent at tight end, the Ravens will likely lean heavy on the run game against the Bills.

The Ravens will travel to Buffalo on Sunday to face the Bills on CBS at 1 p.m.
