Titans fielding trade offers for Kenny Britt, per report

Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt could be heading out of town sooner than expected.

Jamie Sabau

The Titans may soon rid themselves of oft-injured and oft-troubled wide receiver Kenny Britt. Tennessee is fielding trade offers for Britt but are not actively shopping him, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Britt may have caused the Titans to consider a move after his tweets about Tennessee not wanting to talk about an extension with the fifth-year wide receiver. The Rutgers alum has a history of injuries and has had several off-the-field problems as well. Britt has missed 19 games over his career due to injuries and suspensions.

His performance on the field has likely suffered due to lack of consistency from missing games. In five season, Britt has complied just 151 catches for 2,397 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. The Titans took Britt with the 30th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Britt is expected to be in the lineup for the Titans as they host the Jets on Sunday at 1 p.m. on CBS.
