The Denver Broncos lead the Philadelphia Eagles, 21-13, at halftime. The Eagles offense is doing what they can, but the Broncos have been too much for them so far.
Broncos vs. Eagles halftime score: Denver controlling the game, leads 21-13
Peyton Manning is doing his usual thing in the first half. Can the Eagles keep up?
Like most games this year, the Broncos jumped out to a huge early lead. Peyton Manning hit Wes Welker in the endzone to grab a 7-3 lead. Just a few minutes later, Trindon Holliday ran a kickoff return back 105 for a touchdown, giving the Broncos a 14-3 lead in the first quarter.
The Eagles attempted a comeback, running Chris Polk up the gut for a goal-line touchdown, but Manning's methodical attack was just too much for Philadelphia's patchwork defense. Peyton marched right down the field, driving 80 yards on 11 plays to the goal line. Knowshon Moreno punched it in from four yards out to give Denver a 21-13 lead.
Manning was nearly flawless, completing 12-of-16 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles have done an admirable job keeping up with the Broncos so far, but they need more points on offense, because that defense has been incapable of stopping Peyton.
