Raiders vs. Redskins score update: Oakland leads at halftime, 14-10

Matt Flynn’s even play and a complete team game have spurred the four-point lead at the half.

The Oakland Raiders are down their starting quarterback but are up on the scoreboard, as Matt Flynn has led the offense to a 14-10 advantage at halftime over the Washington Redskins.

An unconventional blocked punt opened scoring for Oakland, when Jeremy Stewart recovered the block on special teams and ran it into the end zone. All three phases are working for the Raiders right now. Flynn has completed 11-of-18 passes, including a touchdown and interception. The run game is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, while the defense is pressuring Robert Griffin III, sacking the quarterback once and hitting him three times.

Washington is attempting to lean on Alfred Morris to carry the load, but the Redskins running back hasn't had much success in the first half. He has amassed 43 yards rushing on 12 carries -- an average of 3.6 yards per carry. Griffin III hasn't been very accurate compared to his average, completing 56 percent of his passes, and has yet to find the end zone. The team's only touchdown came on a Matt Flynn interception that was returned for a touchdown by David Amerson.
