Santonio Holmes injury: Jets WR out with ailing hamstring
Santonio Holmes left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury.
There is not much information available regarding his status, but it's unlikely Holmes will return in a blowout loss to the Titans. Before the injury, he had just one catch for 25 yards. Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley will assume the starting jobs in his absence.
Holmes has been plagued by injuries in his tenure with the Jets. He missed most of 2012 with a Lisfranc injury and was slow to return in the preseason. Holmes ended up starting in the regular season, but was slow to produce with a rookie quarterback, recording just nine catches for 218 yards and a touchdown in the first three games. The Jets are expected to update his status after the game.
