NFL injury roundup: Jake Locker, Jason Pierre-Paul suffer major injuries in Week 4

There was plenty of carnage in Week 4 of the NFL season.

Frederick Breedon

Things were starting to look up for Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker. He had thrown three first-half touchdowns against the New York Jets and was playing about as well as he has in his NFL career. But in the third quarter, Locker suffered a hip injury.

He was taken to the hospital for further tests but no word on his status has been released. The Titans are sitting at the top of the AFC South after Sunday’s win, but Locker’s health will be crucial going forward.

Here are some other injuries you may have missed on Sunday.

Jason Pierre-Paul suffers knee injury against Colts

Things went from bad to worse for the New York Giants late in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. Star defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a knee injury late in the game and it didn't look pretty. There will be more news to come, but Pierre-Paul's injury looked serious.

Brian Cushing suffers concussion in Texans loss to Seahawks

Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing left Sunday's loss to the Seahawks with a concussion. He was being evaluated by trainers on the sideline before being declared out for the game.

Darren McFadden leaves game with hamstring injury

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden left Sunday's game against Washington with a hamstring injury. Once considered injury-prone, McFadden has held up well recently. He did not return to the game after his injury and we'll learn more in the coming days.

Santonio Holmes doesn’t finish game after hamstring injury

The Jets limped out of Sunday's game against the Titans. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes suffered a hamstring injury late in the game and couldn't finish. He's been working his way back from a foot injury as well, so this is not good news for Geno Smith 's No. 1 option.

Alfred Morris knocked out of game with rib injury

The Redskins are having a disastrous season, and it got worse on Sunday when running back Alfred Morris suffered a rib injury. He was unable to finish the game, but the severity of his injury is not yet know.
