Brian Waters, Cowboys agree to terms

The Cowboys finally agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Brian Waters.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with offensive lineman Brian Waters, according to Cowboys broadcaster Brad Sham (via Blogging The Boys). Waters has had an interesting offseason, but it appears that he's going to end up in Dallas after all.

Waters sat out last season and it looked like he was retired after the Cowboys “moved on” from pursuing him last month. Things have changed now that training camp is over, however, as he’s apparently decided to make the move and sign for the upcoming season.

The 36-year-old Waters played the majority of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, but has collected paychecks from the New England Patriots for the last two years -- despite not playing a single snap for the Pats last season.

The 2009 Walter Payton Man of the Year was a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All Pro, but it’ll likely still take him a few weeks to get into playing shape. Once that happens, he’ll likely get snaps at guard so Doug Free can move back to tackle and Ronald Leary can get fully healthy.
