The Cleveland Browns filled their kicker hole on Tuesday, agreeing to a deal with veteran Billy Cundiff, according to ESPN.com. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported the deal is for one-year and worth $840,000.

Cleveland was previously without a kicker after it released Shayne Graham and Brandon Bogotay, who were with the team in training camp. Cundiff spent training camp with the New York Jets before being released. He made all three of his field goal attempts during the preseason, although none of the attempts were longer than 32 yards.

Cundiff spent five games with the Washington Redskins last season, making 7-of-12 field goal attempts. He signed with San Francisco, but did not appear in a game. He's kicked for five different teams during his nine-year NFL career, making 75.5 percent of his field goal attempts. He's three years removed from the best season of his career, when he made 26-of-29 attempts for the Ravens in 2010.

The Browns were also interested in free agent Dan Carpenter, but he signed with the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
