Stephen Hill is going through the NFL's concussion protocol, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan revealed Monday. Hill suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans on the Jets' second play of the game. The second-year wideout walked slowly to the sideline and did not return to the game after being taken into the locker room after a big hit by safety Michael Griffin.
Stephen Hill diagnosed with concussion, per report
Stephen Hill is dealing with a concussion suffered during Sunday’s loss to the Titans. With the addition of a hamstring injury to Santonio Holmes, the Jets could be down their top two wideouts Monday night against the Falcons.

Given the nature of concussions, Hill's status for Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons is likely in jeopardy. The Jets may also be without Santonio Holmes, who suffered a hamstring injury during the loss. Given quarterback Geno Smith's struggles Sunday -- he went 23-for-34 passing for 289 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions -- the Jets' offense could struggle once again.
Hill has struggled with injuries since being drafted in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Last year, he finished his rookie season on injured reserve because of a knee sprain. He also dealt with hamstring issues throughout his first year. If he and Holmes miss Week 5, the Jets will look for production out of Clyde Gates, Ben Obomanu and Ryan Spadola in addition to Jeremy Kerley.
