AFC West injuries, Week 4: Eric Fisher, Darren McFadden and Dwight Freeney top injury list

The Broncos stayed healthy, but the Chiefs, Raiders and Chargers suffered injuries to the likes of Eric Fisher, Darren McFadden and Dwight Freeney, respectively.

Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

The AFC West had a good weekend as a whole, going 3-1 in Week 4, but only the Denver Broncos came out truly unscathed. In addition to blowing out the Philadelphia Eagles, the team did not suffer any serious injuries. The Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers weren't as successful keeping their big name players on the field. Here's the rundown:

Denver Broncos

The Broncos managed to remain relatively healthy during Sunday’s blowout win over the Eagles. Guard Zane Beadles left the game with a hand injury at one point, but X-rays were negative and it appears that the injury was not serious.

Kansas City Chiefs

Eric Fisher, the Chiefs' No. 1 overall draft pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, suffered a concussion Sunday, putting his Week 5 status in jeopardy. It is still unclear exactly how Fisher suffered the injury.

Tight end Sean McGrath left Sunday's game briefly with left leg injury during the first half, but was able to return.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders' offensive backfield took a major hit during Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins. Running back Darren McFadden returned to the field briefly after leaving with hamstring injury. He was eventually forced back onto the sideline for good, however. Fullback Marcel Reece suffered a knee injury in the second quarter and did not return.

San Diego Chargers

Dwight Freeney could miss significant playing time going forward if reports that he may have torn his quadriceps turn out to be true. Freeney has been an effective pass rusher since signing with the Chargers in the offseason, though he has just a half-sack through four games.
