NFC East injuries, Week 4: Rib injury likely won’t slow Alfred Morris

The Redskins suffered a couple injuries in their Week 4 victory, but will have a bye week to recover.

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins were the only team in the NFC East to earn a win in Week 4, leaving the division as one of only two without a team with a winning record. The Redskins may have suffered the most significant injury of the division though, as running back Alfred Morris left Sunday's game in the third quarter with a rib injury.

Luckily for the Redskins, Morris reportedly has no broken ribs and with a Week 5 bye, he is expected to be ready to return to the lineup in Week 6. Tight end Logan Paulsen also suffered an injury on Sunday, leaving the stadium with a knee brace, but he will also be a beneficiary of a bye week to recovery.

The New York Giants are still four weeks away from a bye, but they could certainly use one as they racked up more injuries in Week 4. Cornerback Aaron Ross started in the place of Corey Webster, who was out with a hip injury, but the Giants had to turn to Trumaine McBride after Ross left with a back injury. Also dinged up for the Giants were cornerback Jayron Hosley and linebacker Mark Herzlich.

While both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys dropped their Week 4 games, but managed to stay relatively injury-free.
