After working him out last week, the New York Jets remain interested in free agent wide receiver David Nelson, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com.
Jets interested in David Nelson, per report
With a banged up receiving corps, the Jets are searching for wide receivers and could take a look at David Nelson.

Whether or not New York signs Nelson may depend on the status of Stephen Hill and Santonio Holmes. Hill suffered a concussion early in Sunday’s game against Tennessee and did not return. Holmes limped off the field with an apparent hamstring injury.
The Jets lacked wide receiver depth before the injuries. Nelson could add some depth, although he's coming off an injury of his own. Nelson tore his ACL in Week 4 of last season. He spent training camp with the Cleveland Browns and was released in final cuts. The 26-year-old could be a solid addition if he's healthy. He caught 61 passes for 658 yards in 2011.
If New York is going to make a move, it will likely happen soon so Nelson, or whoever is signed, is able to go through a week of practice. The Jets have the benefit of an extra day with New York taking on Atlanta on Monday Night Football.
