If New York's 0-4 start wasn't bad enough, the Giants could now be without starting defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins. Jenkins was wearing a walking boot on Monday due to a tendon injury, according to Kieran Darcy of ESPN.
Cullen Jenkins injury: Giants DT in a walking boot
The Giants are off to a rough start and Cullen Jenkins’ status could now be in doubt.

“I think just a little tendon something, knee and Achilles,” Jenkins said, via Darcy. “Hopefully like I said, just a couple days, get this thing treated, and get back going.”
Jenkins started the first four games of the season, his first in New York. While he has six tackles and no sacks on the season, Pro Football Focus graded him at +2.6, the fifth-highest on the Giants defense. Tom Coughlin and the Giants did not provide injury updates on Monday, so more details on Jenkins’ status will have to wait until later in the week.
If the injury is serious enough to keep Jenkins out of the lineup, it would hurt New York's defensive tackle rotation. Although the Giants have struggled defensively, the defensive tackles have played well with Mike Patterson, Jenkins, Linval Joseph and Shaun Rogers all getting snaps.
Even though he doesn’t have a sack yet this season, Jenkins is tied for second on the Giants with four quarterback hurries. He also has the highest pass-rush grade on New York’s defense, according to PFF.
