More on the matchup: The Carolina Panthers defeated the 49ers in a close game when these teams last met. Colin Kaepernick was contained in that matchup, throwing for just 91 yards in the Panthers' 10-9 win. These teams are different this time around, with San Francisco seeing the return of Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis, both of whom were missing in the prior contest. Carolina is the only home team in the Divisional playoff weekend that is regarded as an underdog, which should result in an interesting game.
