49ers vs. Panthers, 2014 NFL injury report: Michael Crabtree hurts shoulder

San Francisco won on Sunday and just as important, escaped any serious injuries.

The San Francisco 49ers moved on Sunday, beating the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium 23-10.

With the win, the 49ers clinched their third consecutive visit to the NFC Championship Game, this time earning a date with the Seattle Seahawks. However, they will need to mend some injuries this week before that contest.

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree went down early in the first quarter after being tackled in an awkward position, forcing him down on the top of his helmet. The former first round pick went off to the sidelines visibly shaken, but returned to the game and played throughout.

Afterwards, it was discovered Crabtree had a shoulder injury but should be fine going forward, per the San Francisco Chronicle’s Eric Branch. Fullback Will Tukuafu also left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury and stayed on the sideline from that point forward. He might have an MCL sprain, according to the Sacramento Bee’s Matt Barrows.

Carolina only lost safety Quintin Mikell with a foot injury sustained in the second quarter. He did not return and the severity of the injury is unknown.
