The New England Patriots lost to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, falling one game short of Tom Brady's sixth Super Bowl appearance.
Tom Brady says he won’t watch Super Bowl
New England’s quarterback has no interest in watching the game most Americans will be glued to.

On Monday, Brady said he won't be watching the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and Broncos, instead preferring to treat the season as over, per the Boston Herald.
“I don’t have much of a rooting interest, truthfully. Those games are hard to watch,” Brady said. “I don’t see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game or watch it. Our season is over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching a game. That’s pretty much how I feel.”
Brady had a very atypical performance, missing a variety of deep throws that could have changed the game early on. The worst was an overthrow of Julian Edelman in the first quarter that would have been a sure touchdown.
“That’s one I think about that could certainly impact the outcome of the game from my standpoint. I need to hit that throw. That’s a throw that I’m capable of and I make 9 out of 10 times and I didn’t make it yesterday. When you get in games like this and the margin of error is slim, you’ve got to make those plays and I didn’t make it.”
The three-time Super Bowl champ almost got New England to the Super Bowl despite playing with a motley group of receivers throughout the campaign. The Patriots went 12-4 despite losing Wes Welker to free agency, Aaron Hernandez to the penal system and Rob Gronkowski to a torn ACL.
On Monday, Brady spoke about whether he felt he could use a big-play receiver this offseason, per the piece:
"Yeah, I had Randy Moss and he was pretty good at that," Brady said. "Those are really unique players and we have a very good skill set of receivers in Julian, Austin played yesterday, Danny (Amendola) played his heart out. We had plenty there yesterday, we just couldn’t do enough early in the game to put pressure on the team to play from behind. And we got behind and it was just too much to dig ourselves out of a hole.
