It was revealed on Sunday that quarterback Tom Brady played through pain during the 2013 season for the New England Patriots, as the nine-time Pro Bowler reportedly played with damage in his throwing hand.

According to a report from Albert Breer of NFL Network, Brady suffered ligament damage in his throwing hand in October. There was previous speculation that Brady had an injury after cameras caught a look at his hand that appeared to be swollen, but the Patriots stayed quiet about the possibility.

Despite the injury, Brady tallied 4,343 yards passing, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, earning Pro Bowl honors. Breer also reported that the injury suffered by Brady has since healed, although it’s not yet known if he’ll participate in the Pro Bowl.

Brady completed 24-of-38 passes against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship on Sunday for 277 yards with one touchdown late in the game.

In other Patriots injury news, it was revealed on Monday via the Boston Herald that the season-ending knee injury for Tommy Kelly was a torn ACL suffered in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals, although he didn't go on injured reserve until a few weeks later.
