Seahawks injury report for Super Bowl XLVIII: Seattle healthy to begin the week of practice

Seattle won’t hold its first full practice in New Jersey until Wednesday, but when they do, the Seahawks should have a full team.

At various points in the season the Seahawks were hit rather hard by injury issues. They played without three starting offensive linemen at one point and without one of their top offensive weapons for most of the season. Those issues appear to be behind them heading into the Super Bowl.

Seattle will hit the practice field on Wednesday and should have all its players available. Six players were listed on the injury report last week, but all six were designated as probable to play in the Super Bowl. That includes Percy Harvin, who practiced in full and is expected to have no restrictions against Denver.

That doesn't, however, mean Seattle is 100 percent healthy -- no team at this point in the season could be. Wide receiver Doug Baldwin missed all three practices last week due to a hip injury he suffered in the NFC Championship game. There was very little incentive to push him, or anyone on the field with two weeks to prepare. If he is unable to practice this week, it will become a bigger concern. Baldwin's status could be a deciding factor. He led the Seahawks in receiving against San Francisco and was the second-most efficient wide receiver in the NFL, based on yards per target.

In addition to Baldwin, running back Marshawn Lynch, corner Byron Maxwell, defensive tackle Brandon Mebane and linebacker K.J. Wright all missed practice time last week. Lynch sat out numerous practices during the season, but did not miss a game. Wright missed six weeks with a foot injury, but returned for the NFC Championship game.
