Packers vs. 49ers 2014 NFL playoffs halftime update: San Francisco leads, 13-10

The 49ers didn't seem too bothered by the subzero temperatures early on. Colin Kaepernick aired it out right from the opening drive, leading the 49ers down to near the goal line. San Francisco drove down to the redzone on their first two drives, but had to settle for field goals both times. Meanwhile, the Packers looked stiff and lifeless in the cold, managing just six total yards in the first quarter and punting three straight times.

Green Bay's offense found a pulse in the second quarter, thanks to an interception off Kaepernick by Tramon Williams. Rodgers finally got his first pass completion and first first down on the subsequent drive, driving the Packers down within the 10-yard line. He hooked up with Jordy Nelson from five yards out to give the Packers a 7-6 lead.

The lead was short-lived, thanks to a 42-yard run by Kaepernick that set up Frank Gore's touchdown from 10 yards out. With time winding down in the half, the Packers took the ball right down the field, but were unable to find the endzone in time. Mason Crosby hit a 35-yard field goal to cut the deficit to three points at the half.
