Patriots quarterback Tom Brady addressed the team's mediocre 2-2 start in an interview on WEEI radio this morning, admitting that he knows he has to improve if the Patriots are going to salvage their season. When asked in a roundabout way if his performance has suffered, he responded, "I can definitely do a better job."
Tom Brady says he ‘can do a better job’
Tom Terrific assured everyone that he can play better and trusts everyone in the locker room.

There is no denying the fact that Brady is having the worst season of his career. His yards per attempt, completion percentage, and passer rating are all career-worsts and he has thrown just four touchdowns in four games. But is it all his fault, or should some blame fall on his receivers? The normally sure-handed Rob Gronkowski has caught just 48 percent of his targets this year, the lowest among 36 qualified tight ends.
Brady was especially cryptic in his remarks about the talent on the team. When questioned if he trusts the talent around him, Brady said, “Absolutely, I trust all the guys in the locker room.“ However, when asked if he has the talent he needs around him, Brady responded: “We’ll see. We’ll see here in a couple months.“
Former teammate and current NBC analyst Rodney Harrison weighed in earlier Wednesday on Brady's struggles this season, noting that the quarterback looks scared to death and cited several reasons for his poor play this season, including the lack of weapons around him and an ineffective offensive line.
The good news for the Patriots is that no team in the AFC East looks capable of running away with the division. The bad news is that the road doesn't get any easier for New England, which hosts the unbeaten Cincinnati Bengals this week on Sunday Night Football.
