One of the underrated storylines of Week 6 is the meeting between Mike McCarthy and Joe Philbin, former colleagues in Green Bay who now face off on opposite sidelines.
As good as the Packers' offense has been under McCarthy, the unit hasn't quite matched the production it enjoyed when Philbin served as offensive coordinator. Meanwhile, Philbin has found himself under fire in recent months in Miami, but a win over his former employer would go a long way toward silencing critics.
Coming off two consecutive strong performances and a long break courtesy of Thursday Night Football, the Packers are rested and confident heading into Week 6. The rough start for the offense appears to be in the past, with Aaron Rodgers completing over 75 percent of his passes during the team's last two games. Additionally, the ground game finally took off last week with Eddie Lacy bulldozing poor Minnesota Vikings defenders to the tune of 108 yards on just 13 carries. If the Packers can continue to run the ball effectively, few teams will be able to slow them down.
Since their season-opening victory over the New England Patriots, the Dolphins have struggled to slow opposing offenses. The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs combined for 63 points over the next two games, during which Miami's offense failed to break 30. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has struggled to push the ball down the field, ranking 32nd in yards per pass attempt. However, the Dolphins are coming off a bye week, which suggests some changes to the offense might be in store.
Of SB Nation’s seven-member expert panel, five have the Packers winning this Sunday. At ESPN, 10 of 13 experts are going with the visiting team. However, it’s a clean sweep for Green Bay over at CBS Sports and Yahoo! Sports.
