Chargers vs. Raiders 2014 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

The Chargers go for their fifth straight victory while the Raiders hope to avoid a fifth straight loss.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODA

Two teams at the opposite ends of the Power Rankings meet in an AFC west matchup between the Oakland Raiders (0-4) and San Diego Chargers (4-1). The Chargers are going for their fifth straight win and have looked like legitimate Super Bowl contenders, while the Raiders are one of two winless teams in the league and have already fired their head coach.

The Chargers are tied for the best record in the league and lead the NFL in point differential despite a myriad of injuries that has depleted their offense. San Diego has played four different players at center this year, and are on their third-string running back. Yet the team continues to roll, outscoring opponents by an average of 18 points per game during its four-game win streak.

The last time the Chargers won five games in a row during a single season was in 2009, when it ripped off 11 straight wins en route to a 13-3 record and an AFC West division title. San Diego is clicking on all cylinders this season and appears to be headed for its second straight playoff berth.

This game looks like a complete mismatch on paper, but the Raiders might have the advantage in the intangibles department. Not only are they playing at home, but it is their first game since firing head coach Dennis Allen and there is a good chance that the team will be motivated to perform well for interim coach Tony Sparano. Other than that, this team does not look like it can compete at the same level as the Chargers.

Oakland ranks last in the NFL in both scoring offense (12.8 PPG) and total offense (270 yards per game) and has yet to score more than two touchdowns in any game. This is the first time in franchise history the Raiders have failed to score more than 14 points in each of their first four games of a season.
