Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson is active for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Jackson is dealing with a ribs injury and missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He did manage to get in a limited session on Friday, however, and was listed as questionable on the official injury report.
Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson is active vs. Ravens
Vincent Jackson will be available when the Buccaneers take on the Ravens on Sunday.
The Buccaneers have not been a strong passing team. They average just 205.0 passing yards per game, which is 29th in the league. Most of that can be attributed to poor quarterback play between Mike Glennon and Josh McCown. But Jackson struggled off and on through the first four weeks of the season.
His best game was his most recent, though. Jackson caught eight of the 12 passes thrown his way for 144 yards against the New Orleans Saints. The Buccaneers wound up losing the game, but they made it into overtime and Jackson was a big part of that. He's now eying another big day against a very suspect Ravens pass defense that ranks No. 26 in the league with 269.2 passing yards allowed per game.
Fellow receiver Mike Evans is also dealing with injuries and was listed as questionable. Evans has caught 17 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown this season. He is also listed as active for Week 6.
