The Cowboys rolled into Seattle as underdogs, and left with a strong argument as the best team in the conference after a 30-23 win that wasn’t as close as the score indicated. The Seahawks benefited from 17 points off a blocked punt and two bad turnovers that gave them short fields. Otherwise, the Cowboys looked dominant, shutting down the Seahawks’ offense and paving the way for a record day from DeMarco Murray, who rushed for 115 yards.

The Cowboys established themselves as perhaps the best team in the NFC after downing the Seahawks in Seattle. The Eagles capped Sunday with a resounding 27-0 win against the Giants on Sunday night.


In the afternoon, New England also had a renaissance. All but left for dead a week ago, the Patriots got their chance to reclaim the top spot in the AFC East when they took on the Bills on Sunday, and seized it. Tom Brady threw for 361 yards an four touchdowns against a confused secondary, spoiling a strong game by Buffalo’s front seven for a 37-22 win.
The afternoon slate was highlighted by crazy finishes. Titans-Jaguars ended in a blocked field goal, the Packers beat the Dolphins on a fake spike, and Bengals-Panthers ended in a tie after the evening game had already well-begun.
The Eagles looked good on Sunday Night Football shutting out the Giants in a 27-0 victory. Not only did New York lose, but Victor Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon.
