Geno Smith was having one of his better games in Week 6, until he threw a game-ending pick-six on a Hail Mary against the Denver Broncos. Rex Ryan said the New York Jets are still sticking with the second-year quarterback as the starter for Week 7 despite a five-game losing streak, he told reporters at his Monday press conference.
Jets sticking with Geno Smith as starting QB
Geno Smith threw a game-sealing pick-six in Week 6, but will get the starting nod again for Week 7.

Smith finished the game with 190 passing yards and two touchdowns, but it was his game-sealing interception in the final minutes, returned 22 yards for a touchdown by Aqib Talib, that tarnished what was an otherwise relatively positive day.
In 22 career games with the Jets, Smith has thrown 28 interceptions and at least one interception in 18 of those games, including in all six of the team's games in 2014. After starting the year with a 96.6 passer rating against the Oakland Raiders in Week 1, his season rating has dipped to 69.7.
Smith was benched in favor of backup quarterback Michael Vick in Week 5, but even that didn't go too well for the Jets, as the veteran quarterback admitted that he wasn't prepared for the opportunity. Vick completed just 8 of 19 passes against the San Diego Chargers' defense for 47 yards.
New York will next travel Thursday night to face the New England Patriots in Foxborough, where the Jets have lost in each of the last five years. The Patriots rank fifth in the NFL in total defense and fourth in pass defense.
